Pla de Marc
2013
Barcelona, Spain

The scheme consists of a cluster of 15 exclusive villas set on a hilltop overlooking the sea with the City of Barcelona in the distance.
The scheme is inspired by rock formations dotted around the hilltop landscape and the houses take on the soft jutting and angular rocky forms.  The villas are also predominantly white in the spirit of the Mediterranean vernacular and they are placed to provide views through the forest.
The house is restricted by the planning normatives but the scheme makes good use of the surrounding landscape utilising it to create a sculptured layered building.
The house is like a river stone, with soft and sinuous shapes polished by the water stream or wind erosion. Therefore the facade is a seamless material, soft and continuous. The general atmosphere of the interior finishes are neutral, in mate colours to focus the attention on the buildings curvy shapes and its particular materials.
The 15 private Villas are under construction in Mediterranean Coast.
