Yinchuan Arts Hotel Studios

The scheme located in Yinchuan, Northern China next to the Yellow River Arts Centre is a Boutique Hotel combined with Artists’ Studios and artist -in-residence loggings. The two aspects of the program with two materials- timber for the hotel and loggings and concrete for the artist’s studios. The hotel and studios are also interlocked providing glimpses of artist working methods and processes.

The scheme also proposes the use of barges which float along the Yellow River and create new Artists colonies along the Yellow River Shoreline. The 10,000m2 scheme also serves as a hotel and artist -in-residence and is part of the Yellow River Museum complex.
