BIM

MYAA was an early adopter of Building Information Modelling (BIM) in 2005 and we have adapted systems and processes for a range of schemes from mega projects to smaller more bespoke schemes. We use BIM Level 1,2,3 and beyond based on client and project needs to provide high performance buildings from construction through to building operation and management. As BIM experts, we have given talks with EU European Commission and other institutions on the use and implementation of BIM across all sectors. We initiate all our projects with 3d modelling, using parametric software in conjunction with BIM on a collaborative cloud-based platform with our design teams.

Information is updated regularly on a shared model and accessible to clients. The process enables automatic clash detection to ensure architecture, structure, and MEP services are quickly and fully coordinated. Project data is also extracted for cost purposes and design control. MYAA has used BIM on a range project including schemes with complex geometry, FIFA World Cup Sports Stadia, though to Rail and Infrastructure projects, Residential Schemes and Retail Centres. BIM models are also issued to contractors as part of the overall tender documentation for smarter and more accurate pricing which simplifies procurement. Retail and Commercial projects using BIM have also provided our clients with powerful new tools for cost effective building operation and management.
